Speaking at the event, Osama El-Azhari said he was honored to unveil the app, which helps qaris all over the world to review and recite the Quran.
This is a gift from Egypt to all of the world, he stated, according to el-Balad website.
He also highlighted the country’s Quranic achievements in recent years, saying they include the establishment of the Dar al-Quran al-Kareem and publishing the Mus’haf of Egypt.
He said the Mus’haf has been printed in different sizes and that its calligraphy has been done in the Ottoman style by prominent calligrapher Mohamed Saad Ibrahim.
The Mus’haf is in the Hafs from Asim narration, the Awqaf minister went on to say.
Egypt is a country in North Africa with a population of around 100 million.
